Core Values

Worship

We encourage one another to worship and adore God. Our worship is expressed in any form of personal and corporate celebration of all that is good, holy and true of God.

Gospel Advancement

The gospel is the power of God for salvation. The Bible is the inerrant, authoritative and primary source of the Gospel and all matters of individual and/or corporate Christian life.  We embrace all denominational, national, and cultural tendencies which which uphold and advance the gospel. We reject all denominational, national, and cultural tendencies which diminish the gospel or cause God’s people to stumble from the truth.  (Romans 1:16; Phil 3:8; 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Isaiah 40:8)

Biblical Exposition

We endeavor to free all people from slavery to sin by making the gospel known through expositional Bible teaching and preaching.  (2 Timothy 4:1-2; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:42)

Persistent Prayer

We strive together to know and accomplish God’s will through persistent individual and corporate devotion to prayer. (Acts 2:42; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Global Engagement

We delight in building the kingdom of God locally and globally by making disciples from every domain of society and planting churches to strengthen and sustain them. (Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Corinthians 5:19-20; Acts 1:8)

Deliberate Diversity

We actively seek community which overcomes worldly prejudice and reflects the unity and diversity which God established for the Church through Christ. (Luke 6:32-35, Galatians 3:28, 1 Cor 12:12-30, Col 3:11, Revelation 7:9-10, Ephesians 4:2-5, 1 Cor 9:20, Proverbs 22:2)

Authentic Membership

We demonstrate the gospel through covenant community by promoting a sincere love which practices biblical discipline, encourages personal sanctification and generously participates in fellowship.  (Hebrews 10:24-25, 1 Cor. 5:12-13, 2 Cor. 2:6,)

Pervasive Participation

We structure our activity, programs and training to activate the Spiritual gifts of the members for the common good of the congregation. (Eph 4:11-16, 1 Cor 12:7, 14-25, Col 3:12-13, Heb 3:12-13)

Active Discipleship

We grow in Christ by equipping members with sound doctrine and empowering them to implement all forms of teaching and training which promote transformation of minds and righteous living.

(Luke 9:23; Titus 2:1-6; 2 Timothy 2:2, 3:10-17, Romans 6:17-18, Romans 12:2)

Local Fellowship

We grow in love and joy as we live together in  transparent, sin-fighting, Christ-pursuing fellowship. (1 John 1:6-9, James 5:16, Acts 2:46-47, Heb 3:12-13)

Risky Compassion

We demonstrate the open-handed love of Christ by actively seeking opportunity to restore justice, care for the oppressed, and bring freedom to the captive.  (James 1:27, Galatians 2:10, Luke 6:27-36, 2 Tim 2:25-26, Psalm 68:6, 147:6-8,Isaiah 58:6-11)

Biblical Leadership

We protect these values through the leadership of elders and the service of deacons within a complementarian, congregational church governance.
